Press Release
Battery producers need butterfly and control valves for full containment processes with highest demands to production safety and product quality in the production, mixing, and processing of their dry or viscous materials. EBRO ARMATUREN offers a special range of valves without any non-ferrous metals, adjusted to the industry-specific needs of battery manufacturers. .
EBRO has six industry-adjusted valve types at hand in order to implement safe transport, precise dosage, explosion decoupling, removal of difficult media, as well as contamination and emission-free processing in full containment. EBRO ARMATUREN thus once again proves its competence in “industry-specific solutions”.
Reliable quality, highest product safety: carefully tested
All EBRO products are the result of careful developments for solutions that are functional in the long term. Employees undergoing continuous training subject the valves and components to comprehensive stress and endurance tests in a dedicated research department. This reliable information enables EBRO to ensure the planned purpose of the valve and its components.
Inflas®: Prevents elastomer abrasion, contamination, and reaction
The INFLAS® butterfly and control valve [Figure 1] with its inflatable safety liner forms the core of the portfolio without non-ferrous metals and in compliance with TA-Luft. In contrast to conventional designs, elastomer abrasion while closing is prevented as well as contamination or reactions with active materials of the battery cell. This is ensured by the closing principle of the liner that eliminates friction between the valve disc and the elastomer.
Presence on the most important markets and many queries from customers led to EBRO’s early detailed analysis of the specific requirements of battery production, which brought about development of the comprehensive special know-how that has become part of development of the INFLAS® valve. Thus, it’s hardly surprising that the INFLAS® valve has already become established in the bulk materials industry for its product-preserving handling at concurrent resilience against wear. Beyond this, the battery-production portfolio comprises the following five further valves:
IBC Valve BE: Container valve without non-ferrous metals for safe transport
With a narrow design to save space for use in mobile containers, this butterfly valve [Figure 2] ensures safe sealing against the docking station. Equipped with remote-control capacity and a drop latch, it can be used in potentially explosive areas in accordance with ATEX/IECEx.
ViDos®: Vibration valve for the most difficult of media
The ViDos® valve [Figure 3] enables clean, contamination-free and precise filling and emptying in the coarse and fine flow even for difficult media. The precisely adjustable volume flow ensures precise dosage. Abrasion-resistant disc and liner materials as well as the INFLAS® safety liner can be added to minimize wear caused by abrasive media.
Cycle-lock valve: Explosion decoupling even at high pressure differences
The cycle-lock valve TS [Figure 4] at the silo, receiver tank, BigBag emptying station, conveyor line, mixer, or reactor ensures safe outfeed and infeed alike. This lock valve is certified to ATEX/IECEx. It withstands explosion pressure and prevents penetration of flames even in hybrid mixtures in full containment.
Impeller valve FS-M: Also works for difficult media
The impeller valve FS-M [Figure 5] ensures improved, even volume flows while decelerating media rushing in. Difficult solids can be handled by this as well and will be removed evenly. It offers a variable speed, locking function, and comes in a selection of various gear motors, including some certified to ATEX, CSA, UL, etc.
Z400: For assembly on PE/PP plastic pipes
The resilient-seated control and butterfly valves of this series are suitable for solids, gases, and liquids. Their flow geometries are optimized at reduced inner diameters. They are ATEX/IECEx certified and optimally adjusted to assembly on plastic pipes or lined metal pipes to render chamfering of the welding collars unnecessary.
Individual complete solutions: Synergy effects in planning, implementation, and after-sales support
Going beyond the individual valves for battery production, EBRO offers tailored complete solutions comprising valve, actuator, and automation technology for national and international customers. The coordinated range is supported by experts from the family-owned company from Hagen.
