For the first time, the highly integrated technology combines a mechanical locking function with digital feedback in a single, compact unit, making even manually actuated valves ready for the connected process world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The sensor locking lever comprises the tried and tested standard locking lever and a newly developed latching disc with integrated inductive proximity switches for reliable recognition of the end positions [figure 1]. The integrated design reduces the required installation space as compared to previous solutions. Installation effort and costs reduce considerably at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>While the end position monitoring is a default item in pneumatically or electrically operated valves today, it continues to be a frequent safety-relevant gap at manual actuation. Incorrect operation frequently remains undiscovered and may cause operational faults, loss of quality, or even system damage in particular in critical processes.<\/p>\n<p>This is where the sensor locking lever comes in by integrating the end position feedback right into the hand lever without requiring any additional assemblies or external components at all.
