The H011 series meets the highest standards for chemical resistance. Furthermore, its design and materials ensure suitability for use in plant areas with the strictest hygiene standards. The H011 flaps were developed for use in breweries, dairies, and for applications in the beverage, paint and coatings, and pharmaceutical industries.
(Optional) Designed for the combined requirements of the chemical and food industries
The basis for EBRO’s newly developed H011 butterfly valve was the T200 valve, which has proven itself over decades. This is a PTFE-lined butterfly valve used in highly demanding processes within the chemical industry. To meet customer requirements, the valve was equipped with flange connections used in the food industry. These have the advantage of centering the valve in the pipeline to within a tenth of a millimeter. Since the valve’s inner diameter and the pipe’s inner diameter are identical, protrusions and recesses are avoided, and the liquid medium can drain out completely. At the same time, the piping and valve can be cleaned more easily and without leaving any residue.
The modular H 011 valve combines numerous advantages
The H011 valve from EBRO features a modular design. At its center is the housing, which is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel (1.4408). The external geometry is designed to ensure easy and thorough cleaning from the outside. Both the disc and the shaft are cast as a single piece from duplex steel (1.4469). This one-piece casting allows for a gap-free transition between the disc and the shaft, thereby eliminating dead space. This further reduces the risk of contamination. In addition, the high-gloss polished duplex disc offers excellent corrosion resistance and a low-adhesion, easy-to-clean, and hygienic surface. The valve’s sleeve is made of virgin PTFE, which is approved by the FDA and EC 1935 and can therefore be used without hesitation in the food and pharmaceutical industries. A certified special version compliant with TA Luft and suitable for ATEX zones is available as an option. Furthermore, the material is resistant to virtually all chemical media and does not absorb odors, flavors, or colorants. The materials used allow for the use of many cleaning agents, such as those employed in CIP and SIP processes. Likewise, steam up to 150°C can be used without any problems. The shaft sealing system consists of a spring assembly with a downstream pressure ring. This applies constant and reliable contact pressure to the sleeve. As a result, compared to conventional disc seals, a particularly durable and reliable seal for the shaft passage is ensured. The split housing design allows for easy maintenance and replacement of components.
Free choice of connections
The head flange of EBRO’s H011 series is designed in accordance with DIN EN ISO 5211, thus allowing for the direct mounting of all common drive types. Especially for plant areas with high hygiene requirements, such as food processing applications, EBRO offers a pneumatic actuator specifically developed for these applications, featuring a particularly hygienic and space-saving design. This provides customers with a compact, automated turnkey solution even for these plant areas. The unit consisting of the valve and connecting flanges is a modular assembly. This allows for the combination of a wide variety of connection ports. Customers can choose from connections compliant with DIN 11853-2, DIN 32676, and DIN 11850/11866. The connecting flanges are also made of high-quality 1.4408 stainless steel. The new H011 butterfly valves are available in nominal diameters ranging from DN 50 to DN 250. They can be used for applications in the temperature range of -40 to +200°C (depending on pressure, medium, and material) and at a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar (depending on the operating temperature).
