Approved Design Enhanced – The New Actuator Series Type EB

Pneumatic actuators of the series EB are designed according to the scotch yoke principle and are perfectly suitable for the automation of quarter-turn valves.

The maximum torque is available in the end positions of the opening and closing operation. Compared with rack and pinion actuators of similar performance, the air and energy is less than 50%.

These series are maintenance-free. The design features low friction piston guides and a good resistance to wear. The multiple shaft bearing reduces friction losses to a minimum and ensures high efficiency in continuous operation. The pinned yoke guarantees a power transmission free from float and blow-out safe shaft.

Single-acting actuators in “spring-opens” or “spring-closes” version are equipped with visible spring retainers. Depending on the operating conditions -torque demand and control pressure- six different spring packages are available. Both series cover a torque range from 11 Nm to 2426 Nm.
